Sunday Evensong

Usually last Sunday of the month, times vary, currently 4.30pm

A quiet lay-led service of sung Evensong from the Book of Common Prayer (BCP) 1662, with short sermon, lasting approximately 45 minutes. The service has intoned versicles and responses, responsive spoken Psalm, sung Canticles, and up to four traditional hymns. The readings come from either the Authorised Version (King James) Bible or the New Revised Standard Version (NRSV). At present this service is attended by a congregation generally of more mature years, but all are welcome.

Whilst we generally aim to meet on the last Sunday of the month, the times and dates can be variable dependent on the availability of the service leader and organist, consequently it is advisable to consult the weekly pew sheet for when the services take place.
